I watched as she turned away, I lashed my tail from right to left without thinking, I hoped that she wouldn't come back tonight, unless I wasn't so angry anymore -

Once the other person was out of sight, Pogo sat on the ground and opened her book. She sighed as she began idly flipping pages. -
I sat down and relaxed, I was laying down on my back and was slowly falling asleep

Suddenly, as if flipped by a switch, the pages glowed with an eerie blue light. They started humming, too, a very high pitched hum.

I was just about to fall asleep, but then I heard a hum from not far away, it sounded high pitch and I didn't know what it was, I got up and quickly but silently walked towards it, I saw the girl from before, but she has a weird book, the pages were glowing with a weird blue light! I silently watched

Then a large dark shadow jumped out like a jack-in-the-box. It twisted and bubbled until it took the form of a man. His ethnicity was hard to tell, for he glowed with the eerie blue light as well. But he looked to be in his early twenties. He was wearing a suit and tie, and had a sad expression on his face as if he were at a funeral.

I watched as a weird man appeared, he looked upset, I wondered if that girl knew magic or something, I stayed hidden and hoped she wouldn't notice me

It then went back to the shadow thing, and this time twisted into the shape of a woman. She was in her mid thirties, and appeared to be dressing. The next form the shadow took was a baby. It was naked, curled into a tight ball, and appeared to be covered in some sort of slime.

the thing kept changing, it was now a baby, I was thinking, I didn't know what was up with that book, I stayed silent and just kept watching

Pogo gently touched the image with her right hand, flinching away at what came next. There was a scream, a flash of red, and the book slammed shut. Plunging the area into darkness once more.

I was shocked, but I didn't move, I stayed silent, at least my mask didn't fall off, I wondered what was going on

She shudded, picking up her book and turning to go. That's when she noticed him. "H-have you been there the whole time?" she asked with a slight stutter.
