"Nice long run you had there, hmmm?" My dad stood just inside the door.
"Uh, yeah. I just needed the air."
"You missed dinner," he said pointedly.
"Not hungry. I think I'll just go to bed. 'Night," I mumbled, climbing the steps to my room. -

I kept flying. soaring through the sky. It felt so go to feel the win-OHCH! Something hit my right wig and I tumbled down. Hitting the ground with a thump. I groaned and studied my wing, it was bleeding, great. I used a healing spell, I would be able to fly in a hour, but for now I was stuck here in this field. -
I shut my bedroom door behind me. I sighed and flopped down onto my bed. "F---ing wonderful day today. Can't wait for tomorrow!" I exclaimed sarcastically. Should I approach her about it? Or just avoid her... God... Avoiding Rose? I was DRAWN to her. I couldn't avoid her if I tried...

I thought about the "wolf" who was really Eli. Eli. A werewolf, so that's what he was. Should I tell him what I am...? It would mean punishment, worse then escaping, telling an outsider. Angels of Death hated werewolves, with a passion. But I didn't hate Eli at all. He was nice, and fun and cute...No, stop it! I told myself. You swore you would never fall in love again! That's what made you this! But still, I couldn't help but feel...almost drawn to him...

I shook my head and slammed it into my pillows. f---! Admit it... You love her. You love Rose. And this... Ugh. You've ruined it. She'd never love a monster like you, damn it.

I thought about for a minute. Do I love him...? I asked myself. I couldn't take it anymore. I talked in his mind, hoping he could hear. Eli, I'm not mad, I know what you are and I need to talk to you, now. I'm in the forest and...hurt, I'm bleeding. Help, I'll explain everything when you get here, if you come. I was panicing, it was all I could think of. Please hear me Eli, please.

I could've sworn I heard her voice in my head. She said she needed help; she was hurt. I quietly got up and slid open my window. I jumped out, landing on my feet without a sound. I raced into the woods, morphing soon after becoming swallowed in the trees. I followed her scent, soon coming up upon a clearing. There, lying on the ground, was Rose. But she had... wings.

I saw him, in wolf form. "Eli." I said. "I can explain."

I took a tentative step towards her. Is she... Could she be... An angel? I whimpered, noticing the blood on her wing.

"To clear one thing up, I'm not an angel. I'm and angel of death. Not by chose of course." I add quickly. "I got hit, and I-I'm bleeding. I put a healing spell on it but it's still bleeding pretty bad."

Oh... I glanced around quickly. I'd hidden clothes in various places around the woods last night. Let me... I'll be right back. I ran into the trees and emerged a minute later in a sweatshirt and shorts.
