Joyce kept staring at us.

Eric didn't say anything.

"Well, um, I think I'll go stand over there." I walked off.
Joyce finally talked, when Ashley was out of earshot. "What were you thinking, bringing her here? With Dad gone, Jacob will have her dead by tomorrow at best." -
"First, I didn't bring her here. I just brought her to the house. And Jacob won't get the chance, because she's not leaving my sight." Eric sighed.

"You know he'll ind a way Eric." -
"It's not like we can go home now anyway. The portals are down. Besides, if someone were to kill her, it'd probably be the scientists who asked for her, not Jacob. Sara wouldn't let him, being one of the scientists working on the experiment and all."

"I don't know about that?" Joyce said it as if she knew something Eric didn't. -
"You didn't know Sara was one of the scientists working there? That's the reason I got the job." Eric frowned.
