Eric sat down at the edge of the bed. "Okay. Goodnight."

I woke up the next morning kind of disoriented until I remembered what I had done the previous day.

Eric had planned to go downstairs after he was sure his brother wouldn't come back, but he'd fallen asleep, his wings in a slightly painful position that had occurred once he was asleep.

Eric had fallen asleep on the edge of my bed. I didn't want to wake him, so I tip-toed out of the room and went downstairs to get some breakfast.

Eric woke up, staring at the ceiling of Ashley's bedroom. "Wha?" He sat up, groaning as his wings painfully folded back into place. And that's why I hardly sleep.

When I came back up, I saw him sitting up with a pained look on his face. "Sleep on the wrong spot?" I asked, wondering if there was anything I could do.

"Um... yeah you could say that." He unfolded his wings carefully, trying to stretch them enough that they would hurt as much.

I sat down next to him, staring out the window."Is there anything I could do?"I asked. He's already done so much for me. I could at least do one thing for him.

"Probably not. I just need to be more careful about how I sleep." He folded his wings back in and yawned a little.

"Oh. Okay."I said a little put off.

"Is your mom awake yet?"

"Yeah, she was down there eating breakfast with me, just now."I said, realizing that she could see him if he didn't leave. If she did she'd be mad.
