The Demonata is much better than The Cirque Du Freak and a lot scarier.
In book 2, it's this dude that doesn't fit in because he can see lights that other people can't see, and this random old lady comes and these lights draw towards her and then she blows up and her guts fly everywhere and all the kids freak out, then this demon comes out and eats all the kids and snaps the teacher's head off, and grabs the dude's brother, so he chases after the monster in to the portal that brought it here and he finds himself in The Demonata universe.
