Today, in History, we were learining about the American Revolution and the American Dream (Funny that we learnt it in French...)
Well, the teacher asked us what we thought of the American dream, and this is basically a summary of what everyone said.
"The American Dream is a joke: it doesn't exist. Their economy sucks, they have a crappy government, it's dirty and nasty and Americans are the stupidest people in the world. And the fattest. They're ruining the world's culture. Blah blah blah."
After hearing them rant on, I replied with the whole "don't paint everyone with the same brush" thing. I told them that you have people like that in every country, and to not be prejudice.
I swear, their responce was this.
"Yeah, but....they're American . "
I fear for my country's future ._. -

Of course I am. I agree with them and I HATE most Americans but at the same time I'm incredibly ashamed of my fellow Canadians for 'painting everyone the same'
pfff, at one point I thought they were all better than that. I was wrong of course.
