I speeded toward the stake, so I was standing in the hunter's way of it.

I stared at her, then bit my lower lip in frustration. "Looks like I lost..." I looked at the ground, disappointed.

The side vampires leaned forward in interest. "Hmm..." I crouched wondering if she had a trick up her sleeve. "It appears so..."

I frowned and started to walk away, passing her.

I turned and watched her walk away, then the vampires left. "Wait, girl."

"Wait, what?" I stopped but didn't look at her.

I still didn't let my guard down. "Nevermind" I said still cautious.

I thought about what just happened no other hunter had never accepted defeat. "Hey!" I said starting to run after the girl. "No one has ever accepted deat, that's how the other hunters died..." I trailed off. -
"I'm a little smarter than they ar, I mean were." I continued to walk.

"Hmm..." I thought for a second going back on forth on this idea. "I have been lonley and never known real friendship and I assume you work alone since I don't see a partner with you..." I trailed off again.
