He blushed and giggled. "Still. I don't want to get too chubby. And tacos? I've never had tacos."
Hardcore Gringo. D8 -
"You've never had tacos?" He asked, slight gasp. "Oh, then I must make you some! Because Mexican food is the sexiest food on earth!" He giggled, holding his hand as they walked back to the house.
-
He laughed softly. "Thank you. I've never had them because I've always been picky with foreign food."
-
"Yeah, but there's actually a lot of good foreign food. It's like an adventure for the taste buds~."
-
"Mmm, sounds delicious. I think it's worth trying then," he smiled lightly.
-
"Yay, I'm sure you'll like it." He smiled, then when they got back to his house, he unlocked the door and let them in.
"Alex, is that you?" A man's voice called out from the den. He froze, realizing his dad was home. "Y-yes! I'm home, dad." "Come here for a moment, I want to talk to you." -
When they walked in, Nick heard a man's voice. Alex mentioned it was his dad, and Nick froze for a second. He felt fear rise up in him, and he only watched from there.
-
Alex stepped forward to go meet with his dad, who was holding a paper. The man looked up, and before going further, saw Nick. "Who's your friend?" Alex collected himself and spoke again. "This is Nick, he's a good friend I met at school." "Heh, since when did you start having friends? Anyways, nice to meet you Nick. Glad to see Alex is finally coming out of his emo shell." The boy bit his lip, as his dad not so playfully joked.
-
Nick wasn't so happy about the comments the father made, but he remained silent about it. If he made the father angry.. he might as well be dead. "Good to meet you, sir. It's a pleasure to be acquainted with you and your son. He's a great guy."
-
"Hm, especially if he applied himself harder. Alex, I got a call from one of your teachers saying you've skipped out on her class several times this months. You know how I feel about your slacking off on your studies." "I know, I'm sorry dad. It's just that..." "Nope, no excuses. Well, now that we're clear you can continue with what you're doing." He sat down on the couch with a copy of the New York Times. "What are you lads going to do, anyway?"
"We're hungry, so we're going to make tacos." Alex replied simply. "Hm, okay then." His dad wasn't crazy about him cooking. Thought it was too girly. -
The young of the two wasn't too happy to hear about Alex skipping classes either, but he still didn't speak. In fact, even when they were clear he remained quiet. He just gave a rather weak smile to the father, though it must have been wrong timing to do that because it didn't feel right.
-
Alex silently pulled out ground beef and put it in the sink. "He'll never accept it..." He said simply, to himself. "He'll never accept that I'm nothing like he was...I like to cook, do art and music, and I like guys! I like Nick..." He whispered the last two parts.
-
Nick frowned and knew something was wrong. He had only just barely heard some of what Alex was thinking, and yet he couldn't fully grasp what the older of the two was getting ask. A sad look filled his eyes, but the broken smile remained as he tried to figure what was wrong.
-
He turned back to Nick and wrapped his arms around him. "I'm sorry, love. Me and him just don't have the best connection. It won't be a big deal, I promise." He smiled lightly, trying to be reassuring.

So many typos today, Alice..
**at not ask
"I understand. Isn't there some way I could talk to him..?" He realized that it wasn't the best idea, because he'd end up freaking out in the middle of a conversation.
