"DAMN IT ALL!" Kali runs back and collects her badge and runs off again

Lark looked at Haleigh with pleading eyes. "Trust me."

"Fine." Haleigh said.

"First, we have to protect your family, your house."

Haleigh rode her bike home with Lark running behind her. They went up her drive-way and Haleigh parked her bike.

Lark wasn't even panting. "So how people are in your family?"

"Good."Haleigh replied,unlocking the front door with her key. She opened it taking Lark in with her. Her mom was in the kitchen,washing the dished. "Mom,this is Lark." Haleigh said."We're gonna go upstairs." Haleigh said going up the stairs. "Okay." her mom replied. Haleigh open her bedroom door and sat on her bed.

Lark liked the way the welcoming atmosphere felt. She hadn't had family in years. She poked around Haleigh's room, seeing what was instyle and what wasn't.

"How are we going to protect my family?"Haleigh asked Lark.

Lark looked up from a teen magizine she as flipping through and answered, "Well, how many people are in your family? Where are that at what times of the day?"

"Well there's my Mom,my Dad,and my sister.

Lark nodded, signally for her to continue. "Tell me everything."

Rebekah was relieved that what happened was over, and Haru gave her pleasant news that the two girls seemed to be working together. "Yayz," she said but in a quiet manner. "So we did a good thing." "Yeah," he said with a weak smile. "I knew eventually they'd need each other. Some people are just so stubborn."
