yeah, my friends parents like me because i'm straight forward and nice about it in real life, if i did this over facebook, god knows how many of them would ban me from their house ._.

Yeah, very much so. Facebook is very impersonal, and questioning someone's opinions tends to be more personal.
You could always just apologize and talk to her in person or over the phone instead. Unless, of course, you're too afraid.
