They arrived at the hospital, putting Dylan in his own room. A few hours later, he woke up to Lilac standing over him.

I smiled. My voice was barely a whisper. "Y-you're alive."

(Sorry, I was cleaning the desktop like mom asked me to. I can actually see the picture now.

"Ya." Dylan said, his voice scratchy. He coughed into his hand, a little blood coming out. He hid it from Lilac.

I smiled a bit more. Mom came into the room. "Dylan, we were quite worried. But do you have a record of theft?"

"Im sorry ma'am."

"Well, uh, okay then." My mom sat down in one of the chairs and started reading a magazine she'd brought in with her.

"Parental supervision." Dylan chuckled. "Your mom doesnt trust me any more."

"Then she'd better learn to." I kissed Dylan.

Dylan turned his head and coughed into his hand again. More blood. He hid it from Lilac.

"Should we get one of the nurses?" I asked, and hit the call button before he could say anything.

"No. Im fine. Really."

"You sure? I'm pretty sure when you're in a hospital bed you aren't fine."

Dylan placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Im fine."
