I walked to my locker, thinking about my power. ...Just don't make any eye contact with anyone... no eye-contact. Okay. Thats going to be.... challenging. I thought to myself. I absent-mindly shook my head and though, Now, your just going to look like a freaking frea, Abbi. Toturing someone with your hands or mind, or whatever, won't matter. I rolled my eyes. Some people were staring at me. I bit my lip and blushed deeply. -
(*blinks* Okay then... really the first thing I noticed was his headphones... OH NO! I'M CHOOSING TECHNOLOGY OVER BOYS!)

I stared at the new girl, still reading her mind. I sifted through the thoughts until I came across the two things I was looking for. She could cause pain. Her name was Abbi.
I stopped staring and rushed off to class. -
I go on to English and I sit with my best friend, Linsey. She looks at me and I don't look back. After that I went to lunch, sitting by myself. J glance around a few times, unsure of things.

Math class passed quickly and easily. I went to lunch, knowing Toby had saved me a seat.

I walked to the cafeteria and sat at an empty table. I took out my iPod and put it on Brighter Than the Sun by Colbie Caillat. Then I took out my sour skittles and opened the pack, eating them one by one. -
(Colbie Caillat? D: You took away my Swedish singer.)
Toby gave me his friendly, dorky smile. "Hey Kali."
I smiled back, a bit distracted. "Hey, we should invite the new girl over here."
"Are you gonna..." Toby and I locked eyes and I nodded. I tried to get into her mind. Hey, Abbi, sit next to us. -
I look up and see the girl, Kali, walk in and to her best friend, Toby. I look down, ashamed and Alone. I wish I had close friends. Linsey is a friend, but not really close and not there when I need her. I chew my food wondering...and daydreaming...

I swayed to the melody of the song then I heard a voice pop in my head..
Hey, Abbi, sit next to us.
I looked around and saw a girl looking at me, with a guy next to her.
I got up and hesitated to go over to her table. But, I still went over.
"Umm.. first question," I said and sat across from the guy and girl. "How do you know my name? Second question: Did you just... speak to me... through my mind? And, finally: Do you know? My..." I lowered my voice, and said, "Do you know abnout my power?" -
I smiled a bit. "The first question can be answered by the second one. The answer to the second question is yes. And yes I do." Toby looked down. I sighed. "Toby wants powers too so he can be called Super Toby."
Toby blushed a bit. "It's true..." -
I raised my eyebrows at Toby.
"Are you kidding me?" I held back from laughing. "I'm..I'm sorry. But, uh, "Super Toby"? Oh, God.." I closed my eyes and smiled. "But, if you don't know, torturing people really isn't something you want to do. I can't keep it under control." I sighed and opened my eyes. "Last night, I almost [i]killed[/i[ my little brother." -
My eyes widened. "Oh my God, is he alright?" I whispered.
