I kept my hand next to my pocket. Maybe, just maybe, I could pull out a knife and kill one of them when they weren't expecting it. For now, I'd pretend to be a weakling. Was I actually thinking like a hunter? I hoped not. I just wanted to get this over with. "Please don't kill me..."

Maru stopped herself from laughing, and ran past the human and Matt.
"Jasmine!" she called, searching for her cousin. -
manders NoviceJasmine heard her cousin and found her then ran up to her and said "yeah? what is it?, you ok?" and looked her over to make sure.

The demon helped me up. "I didn't need your help," I said, my hand inching into my pocket.

manders NoviceMatt smiled in digust and grabbed her up holding her where she couldn't hurt anyone including herself and then tyed her up the same way and said "ok sweetie but i can't let you hurt me or anyone else either".

"A demon hunter! There's a demon hunter out there with Matt!" Maru said. She glanced over her shoulder at the young girl.
"And she's really small. But weak. We could totally take her! She just started begging Matt not to kill her!!" Maru laughed. She didn't know why this was funny. But it was. She continued laughing. -
manders NoviceJasmine looked at her cousin and said "ok but i thought you didn't like him, but oh alright" and followed her cousin.

(Selena- so you know- Demons are really really strong, really fast, and really hard to kill. We can take several blows that are lethal to humans and survive. Just so you don't think we're trying to play God and be stronger than you all the time.)
Maru led Jasmine back to Matt and the human, where they found him holding her off the ground. Maru was confused. Well, that shifted quickly from friendly sympathy to hostility. -
(I figured that.)
"Hey, let me go! Come on, I swear, I won't kill you, just please!" Then again, I might be killed if I didn't kill them. I could get used to lying... -
manders NoviceJasmine took in the scene and to her it made perfect sense so she said to the girl moving closer with amusement in her vioce "why hello there little girl got yourself in quite a bind here didn't you?"

(Kay, that's good. I didn't want you to feel we were being unfair.)
The girl struggled against Matt's grip, which did not prove helpful for her. She swore she wouldn't kill him, which almost made Maru laugh.
"Hey Matt? Can I check her pockets?" Maru asked, holding back laughter. -
"Just let me go!" I screamed, trying to struggle away from the demon. Grr... why'd they have to be so strong?

manders NoviceMatt looked back for a second and saw Maru and said "yeah, sure if you want to"

Maru did a little bounce of excitement.
"Oh, fun! Let's see how many knives she's brought!" she laughed, stepping closer to the girl. -
(Okay.)
I tried to keep from crying. Nobody told me they'd be that strong! "Don't check them, I have nothing in them! It'd... It'd be a waste of your time!"
(I like this soap.)
