I took in a breath and pasted a smile onto my lips. "Hey there, Randy... Hehe..." I mentally face-palmed. Yeah, hey there, Sam. Guess what? You just f---ing blew it.
-
I eyed her. "What's.. up?" An expression of pain plastered on my face.
Heheh, plastered. -
:D Ooooh, like when I fixed a hole in the wall the other day... That was NOT made by my fist, whaddya talkin' about? Hehe... heh.... o_o
"Oh, not much... Uhhh..." I glanced at my feet. "Just stuff..." I hoped he didn't notice the pitch change in my voice. It was higher than usual. Yet another thing that happened when I *TRIED* to lie. -
xD LOL
"Yep, I know how that is." I said sarcastically. "What's going on?!" -
"...." My eyes were glued to my feet. "Uhh... Well... You see..." I cleared my throat, stalling. "Uh...." I clamped my mouth shut. That's right. Shut the hell up, Sam. Shut. The. Freaking. Hell. Up.
-
"Tell me... later. You think you can get me out of here? The IV's hurt." Which was a blatant LIE. I kinda hoped she didn't catch it.
Wow, total liefest going on here. xD -
"That's not good. I guess, lemme just forge Tammy's signature or something. Be back in a bit." I left the room, flagging down the nurse. I quickly said my stepmom was outside and that I'd bring the papers to her. I forged her signature while in the stairwell, brought it back. They processed the papers and gave me his release information. I headed back to his room.
"Alright, you're good to go," I said as the nurse took off Randy's IV and placed a band aid over the hole it made in his forearm. -
I glanced down at the bandaid, then back at Sam. Thanks, I mouthed.
-
"You're welcome. Hopefully I can drive..." I grabbed his hands and lead him out to the car. "We have somewhere we need to go first. Don't question. I'll tell you when we get there." I could feel a thin layer of sweat forming on my forehead. I was so nervous and jumpy that it took me about 10 tries before I could buckle my seat belt correctly.
-
I didn't even bother with mine. Just left it unbuckled. Quite frankly, I didn't really care if I flew tthrough that winshield. Anything to get rid of the intense pain in my abdomen.
-
"Here, let me get that for you." I reached across and buckled his seat belt before starting the car, giving him a nervous smile. He knew how paranoid I was about safety.
-
I glanced at her. She never really bothered with my seatbelt. But if it made her happy...
When I get home, I'm gonna take some valium and have a drink, and watch something nice. That'd be wonderful. -
"Kay, so we've got a bit of a detour... Nothing major. Just a few hours, 4 hours tops." I pulled onto the ramp that lead to the freeway, eyeing the road like a hawk.
-
I sighed and slammed my head against the window. "Okay, whatver." I said, a little too loud.
-
I reached for the radio, turning to my favorite station, 104.1. I started rocking out to my favorite song, 'You're Gonna Go Far Kid' as I got off the exit ramp, merging onto another route. I barely missed tail ending a pickup truck. "s---!" I slammed on the breaks, leaving just a few inches between our cars. I clicked the radio off, as it had proved to be too much of a distraction. My phone buzzed in my pocket. I let it go.
