Darius hammered his fists against a tree, slashing at it in fury. He realized that he still had claws, and sharp teeth.

"A-are you okay?"Hale asked, frightened. She peeked from behind the tree, spikey red hair obvious.

Darius spun around, and spotted a girl with spikey red hair. 'Do I look okay?' I snapped. I didn't mean to sound so cruel and threatening, but this was such a shock.

"No..."Hale said, startled.

'Well, there's the answer, then!' He growled. He regretted his words. This wasn't the way he'd normally act at all. He turned away, and sighed remorsefully. 'Sorry...'

She peeked out again, and got out from in front of the tree "Its okay. I dont blame you, seeing as I used to be a porcupine."she said.

'Really?' I asked. 'This happened to you, too?'

"Yes. I'm Hale."She said, smiling slightly.

He smiled back. 'My name's Darius.' -

"Nice to meet you. You must have seen the golden flower, too." -
'Yes.' Darius replied. He pondered over whether or not he should tell Hale what he used to be. He was afraid it might scare her,seeing as he was a carnivore.

Hale blinked, fixing the bow around her neck, sweatdropping at the holes poked in it.

He spotted the holes in her bow and chuckled slightly.

"Well, downside is I still have prickly hair."She snickered.

'You can already see the downside with me.' I laughed, gesturing to my claws and teeth. 'People're gonna think I'm some kinda freak!'
