"Ah, careful." He held onto his arm to prevent from tripping.

"Yeah, sorry," he said. They reached the school and headed to their lockers.

"See you in class?"

"Yep," he gathered his books and headed down the hall to homeroom.

"Bye!" He waved and headed to his own.

In homeroom Devin sat alone, twiddling his pencil between his finger and thumb. He used to talk to Jess over in the corner... The lingering sadness covered over him and it was all he could do not to cry.

Sowy. On a laptop
Nikki sat in class, worrying about Devin. -
xP ish okie.
Math... Dreaded algebra. He sat through the class fighting the urge to lean over in pain. The tears pricked at his eyes, and he blinked, holding them back. -
He stared at the science teacher, blocking out everything.

"Why not work these problems on the board, Devin... Devin?" the teacher walked over to his desk.
"Huh? Oh... I... I..." he buried his face in his hands, the tears coming at the exact moment when all eyes were on him. He was fighting them, but they won over. -
Nikki was told to answer the theory they had been going over all week.

Some people snickered in the back of the room. He wiped his face with his hand and stood up, walking to the board. He tried his best to focus in on the problems, but he couldn't.

"Poor Devin..." He whispered.

"Agh... I can't... do this..." he said to the teacher, pushing past them and out into the hall. They made no effort to keep him in the room. He slipped out the back door and into the school's courtyard, letting the tears slip out, slowly escalating from wimpers to sobs.
