"No. What makes you think I'd listen to you?" he wrinkled his nose in disgust. Mai reached for the paper but he handed it to another person. They all started reading it. Mai stood up with so much force that the chair she had been sitting in clattered to the floor. She couldn't take the anger any more. She walked up to the boy, fuming. "One last chance." She was fuming. "Nah, I'm good," he replied, a smug look on his face. Mai wasted no time. She punched him with so much force that he staggered back a few feet. The class had crowded around them now.

"Good, now I would like you to write a full page on something you like or dislike. But, as always, in Italian." Kawa sighed with the rest of the class, and took out a sheet of paper. -
Mai shrugged. "Atleast I'm not all talk." She pushed her way by him and through the crowd, making her way down the hall. She just needed to get away.

Mai slipped into the library and grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil. Maybe now she could write in peace.

Quello che mi piace di piu di lei e che non ha paura di essere diversi. Abbraccia la sua diversità , anche se gli altri la prendono in giro per questo. Spero che un giorno lei sara trovare qualcuno che lei accetta per quello che e, come faccio io.

I don't know how to put this. It's really hard to say. It's messing with my head and confusing me. I feel like I love her. I'm not sure... But what would she say? She'd probably run off and never talk to me again. I can't risk that.. Mai wrote. She bit her lip.

Mai heard the bell ring. She folded up the paper and stuffed it in the pocket of her jeans. She headed toward her locker and grabbed her books.
