Mai gulped. Almost all of their paragraphs would be about her.
baaaaai hattie! *hugglez* -
elloz :)
-
Alana! *huggles*
And then bell rang, and everyone hurried off to their lockers and next class. -
*hugglez* heyyloz hattie!
Mai gathered her books and rose from her seat and sighed, the crumpled note now in her hand. She wished she could set it on fire, right then and there. The truth was that her family was ashamed and embarassed. They didn't want anything to do with her. They hid it well, but she could always tell their feelings through their eyes. -
Kawa stood and walked out, flicking the head of the kid who placed the note on Mai's desk on her way out.
-
Mai strode quietly out of the classroom, heading to her locker. She saw the Populars walking towards her. She turned the other way, anger blurring her vision.
(be right back. gonna make some salad) -
Kawa had a short locker break, and headed to the water fountain for a drink.
Okie -
(backerz! :D)
One of them poked her shoulder. "WHAT!?" she shouted, her teeth clenched. "What the f---ing hell do you want!? You've done enough, you inconsiderate b----es." They all looked taken aback that she'd spoken. -
Hooray!
Kawa blinked, and smiled. "Go Mai!" -
Mai felt a hint of a smile crawl across her face when she heard Kawa's face through the crowd. She quickly jolted back to the issue at hand. She turned around and glared at them. "You think I enjoy this s---!? I have a right to make choices. And that was mine. Deal with it and leave me the hell alone."
-
Whispers traveled through the crowd that had gathered, and Kawa smiled at her friend'ss new-found confidence.
-
Mai paused and took in their angered and embarassed faces, then continued. "And don't go laughing at me just because I'm different. Because I 100% guarantee you that I'll be laughing, too. Because you're all the same, damn it." With that she closed her locker and walked down the hall to her next class, a new sensation of pride burning inside.
-
"That was amazing, Mai." Kawa said, hurrying up to walk with her. "I don't think they were expecting that at all."
-
Mai shrugged. "My anger got the best of me. If I didn't avoid eye contact with them, I would've ended up starting a fight. I'm sick of them. They need to know that they're not appreciated."
-
"Hey, now that'd be a good idea to write about."
