"That's actually a really good idea..." Mai paused. "Would you help me write it?"

"S-sure!" Kawa said.

Mai smiled. "You're such a great friend, Kawa." She hugged her.

"N-no problem." Kawa replied, blushing slightly and hugging back.

Mai blushed a bit after the hug was over. "Uh... what class do you have next?" -
They're so cute together :D
"Algebra." Kawa said. -
Mai frowned a bit. "I have French. So... I'll see you later?"

"Yeah, see you." Kaawa said, as they both headed off to their separate classes.

Mai walked down the hall to French and sat through the class zoning out. Her thoughts occasionally drifted to Kawa, but she had to stop herself. There was no way in hell that Kawa liked her. They were just friends... She was hoping someday that could change.

Ironicly, Kawa was thinking the same thing about Mai. They were friends, that was it.

After French was over, Mai went back to her locker and put her books away. She waited for Kawa, since it was lunch period.

Kawa came around the corner yawning. Algebra always made her sleepy. She placed her books in her locker, and smiled all the way to lunch.

Mai grabbed her lunch and sat down next to Kawa at the lunch table. "How was Algebra?"

"Boring, as usual. How about French?"

She shrugged. "The usual."
