Alla was placed in a small room to await the other survivors. She sat in a chair near the far wall, looking at the floor. Deep in thought.

Dylan staggered into a room where a girl was sitting in a chair. He coughed and sat down on the floor as he entered a coughing fit.

She looked up and saw two kids enter. Both a few years older then her. One was caughing up a lung, poor guy.

:O Did you die?

temporarily, yes, from the horrible heat.
Dylan continued to cough. He felt the heat drain from his face and he couldn't breathe. Being in the fire for so long must've really taken a toll on his lungs. -
Oh noez!
Two perimedics came in and placed a thingy that helps you breath on his nose and mouth. They layed him down on the floor, and waited until he had calmed down. -
"Thanks..." Dylan barely whispered. He stared up at the ceiling with no expression. He'd just lost pretty much the only two people who had ever cared for him... Tears started to sting his eyes as he tried to fight the urge to cry.

"Are you alright?" Alla asked, walking over to him.

Dylan looked up at the girl and tried to muster a smile, but it was more of a painful grimace. "I..." he knew nothing would convince anyone that he was okay. Hell, their whole world just exploded! He decided to answer truthfully. "I don't know..."

"My name is Alla." the young girl said, "Alla Starr."

"Nice name," Dylan replied. "My name's Dylan. Dylan Muller."

"Nice to meet you." Alla said, then turned to the other girl who looked about the same age as Dylan.

Addison turned to the girl. "Addison Synther." She shook the girl's hand.

"Nice to meet you as well." Alla said, as a few adult entered the room. Their clothes were in tatters and you could tell that they wouldn't live much longer.

Dylan looked up. He shook his head and looked again, then got up. "Chris? Is that you?" he asked. The man nodded. "Are you okay?"
