Dylan stared at the floor as the bombing went off continuously in his head over and over. He flinched as the explosion kept replaying in his head. He felt tears build up as he tried to force them away.
-
"Dylan-sama, are you alright?" the young girl asked, worried for her older friend.
-
Dylan clutched his head tightly and groaned. The visions just became more vivid and painful... He couldn't hear anything other than his grandmother's words echoing through the recesses of his mind... The end is near...
-
"Dylan-sama." Alla said, shaking him by the shoulders. "Dylan-sama!"
-
Dylan's eyes widened as he saw his grandparents dead in their ruined basement... Tears came to his eyes. He didn't have the will power to hold them back. They trickled down his cheeks and onto the tile flooring. It was only then that he snapped back into reality and stumbled backwards.
-
"Nani ga machigatte iru?" Alla asked, "What's wrong?"
-
Dylan closed his eyes tightly for a second and wiped the tears away. "I keep seeing the day the bombing came.. The day... they died. I wish I could've saved them..."
-
Alla remembered Rina, and came close to tears herself. She wrapped her arms around Dylan, and squeezed.
-
Dylan hugged Alla back and kissed her head lightly. "You're like a little sister to me. While we're still hanging around this horrid place, promise me you won't do anything stupid. I can't lose anyone else," he said still hugging her.
-
"I promise." she said, for Dylan was like her sibling as well. The older brother she never had.
-
Dylan nodded and let go of Alla. "I knew I could trust you," he said, smiling.
-
Alla smiled back, and looked over as a very angry man was yelling at someone with very colorful language.
-
"C'mon, lets get out of here. We've got no business sticking around these people."
-
"Right." And they left.
What? You were expecting more? Well, you're not getting any. Hey, whose the author here? -
Dylan and Alla walked down the streets now left in ruins, the smell of smoke and decay lingering in the air. The buildings were now rubble, including the presidential White House. The only thing left was the garden now burned to a crisp.
