Cats: yeah that's still questionable. have you seen that one vine of the guy that's like "on every level except for physical, I am a wolf" or some s--- like that? that's bordering into some mental delusion territory in my opinion
-
@mintvoyager-
It's actually really not pretentious, or attention seeking, etc, to share your pronouns like that. The more normalized telling people your pronouns is, the easier it is for trans people to exist. If CIS people share pronouns too, then a trans person sharing their pronouns doesn't automatically out themself. -
Neopronouns have also existed for a lot longer than most think. They're not something new or which destroys the concept of Pronouns when they've existed since the creation of Pronouns themselves
For reference, "he" was first used as a Pronouns for anyone.
In the English lanaguge, we may have he/she/they as the most common ones, but in various other cultures, languages or past history, there have been numerous occasions of words used similarly to neos or identities which don't quite fit in the English binary and such. It can't really defeat the purpose of Pronouns if it has been a part of Pronouns for so long already now. There isn't really a set rule book to follow with Pronouns, it's really more of just a langauge thing - which is constantly changing anyway so even that has no set rules.
Like why use "they're" when you could just say "they are" Why use "yeet" when we already have the word "throw" . Langauge is constantly evolving, so it's expected that language around Pronouns would too -

I’d almost back out of this but I think I can handle it….
It’s just…
I don’t know…
From past experiences, from doing certain things so long? I don’t know how to explain it, it’s simply what I identify as. I’m sorry if you don’t like that, but it should still be respected, I believe -
@Unpopular - I think having a neo pronoun of an animal and identifying as an animal are pretty different
-
To be fair I sorta identify as an animal- not so much mentally as emotionally- some people here already know this-
-
Acrimony - Sincerely thank you for the information.
Cats - Yeah I'm sorry but I disagree, I think identifying as an animal indicates some deep issues. Identifying WITH an animal, sure whatever. But if you seriously feel like/think you are a cat., Yeah no. -
I don’t like it when you put it like that? It’s more of an emotional problem??
I’ve been advised to back down. Good day/night. -
Unpopular, I appreciate the fact that you're trying to learn, and mostly staying respectful. You don't need to agree with cats, but there's absolutely no need to insult them like that. ESPECIALLY when you're too afraid to even post in your main account :)Moderator

I'm sorry but identifying as an animal is not right. I am using a throw away account because you all tend to gang up on anyone who has a different opinion than you. :)
-
respect is respect and not just a matter of opinion
-
if you're s---ty just say that
-
I can't discuss why I believe it is wrong because I'm pretty sure even the mention of such things goes against the new rules so I'll just leave it there.
-
So basically... you made a new account because you know you're wrong? Nice
-
Ah, yes, because opinions can be right or wrong.
