Actually I do understand she has told us it’s because she is attached to him in a codependent way and has told us she would kill herself if he left her it’s unsettling really

The entire relationship is toxic but one wants to let go the other crawls on the ground for the one that wants to leave to stay.

You want to know the worst part it’s that she’s not even fat she’s so skinny I’m afraid she’ll break one day this dude gaslit her so much she went from being plump to borderline anorexic she can’t even pick up our pet cat when she comes over anymore

How do you convince someone to leave a relationship that’s bad for them if both of them are consenting adults and have been together for longer than you’ve been in their life

You can’t you just have to sit there and awkwardly listen to them cry on the phone about how that was the last straw and how she’s leaving but she never leaves and it’s stressful because her boyfriend is such a coward no let’s talk about that

When I first met her it was when I had just transferred to campus and at first it was just casual conversation but then around last year we ended up getting to know each other better and she joined the friend group I’m in and then she confessed in full that the relationship had issues

So then the lad in question meets me and he’s immediately like oh who the f--- is this why are you with them so late at night are you cheating on me with them or are they an F slur even though there were other people in the group it wasn’t just us

And she was so scared she was like oh no it’s just a friend they have a girlfriend already she’s a biker lady he likes older women and he was like I don’t care I don’t want you going out at night if he’s there too like he as in me and me and the group were shocked because he was talking to her like she was a dog he was clenching her hand so tight and she was like bye really soft and we didn’t hear from her for about three days

Next time we see her she says she’s not ALLOWED to wear skirts anymore because apparently that means guys will want to eye f--- her air quotes if they see her walking down the street so she can only wear skinny jeans WITH a flannel
That was the first time I legitimately got pissed off and I was like alright bet so when we go drop her off -
I make a comment like hey your girlfriend can wear skirts if she wants and you know what that mother f---er did
He called me a slur. BRROOOO at this time this was when I still drank and was angry all the time because I wasn’t happy with myself I still do have anger but it’s not the same as before when I was a s--- show
I don’t really remember what happened next honestly because when I used to get into altercations my mind just goes blank and next thing you know it’s all over
Did I briefly mention that last year last time hold on yeah I think I did huh -
Yeahhh it was when I threw hands and so did he and I got a busted lip and I was like oh s--- his strength is larger than mine but we both didn’t press any charges because we both threw punches
So there’s that but now every time he sees me he’s like oh are you done f---ing the slur yeah? And she’s like no it’s not like that.
Dude one of these days I can’t believe you get to pick and choose her friends -
And I’m not even the only one honestly I think I’m the only guy allowed around her because he doesn’t see me as an equal and it’s frustrating because she’s 20 how is she being controlled it’s so wrong

My worst fear is that one day I do that and the top pops off and it shatters a mirror and the landlord doesn’t give back the deposit
