I’m watching the virgin suicides right now, wanted a switch up from romance movies lol -
virgin suicides was so good, but the ending suprised me

that movie had a lot to do with the male gaze. the libson girls had very visible signs of s*icidal tendencies and the boys just romanticized it and wondered why they ended their lives. also, the parents were terrible. the mom was a control freak and the dad enabled her to be that way, also TRIP OMG. he was so cute tbh but the thing is that he was a huge dick, he literally got what he wanted from lux and left her at the football field. the ending of the movie shocked me, i was kinda right about it but not fully. i was right about them ending it all at the same time but not in the way they did it. literally the virgin suicides is one of my favorite movies of all time now.
