And the first video I took, my southern accent came out because I talked too fast at one point. I’ve noticed that certain words trigger my accent to come through and so, within the span of filming that 2min long video, my accent switched from a standard accent to southern like four times. Send help

I have both a midwest and a southern accent, so I’d rather just talk in a midwest accent when I do the videos because that’s an accent that everyone can understand and because I don’t like the stereotype of southerners being backwoods racist hicks

There is nothing to be ashamed of-be yourself -
I’m not ashamed of being myself, I’m just a little annoyed at the accent switching randomly and would like to keep it consistent when filming videos. I guess I just have to be more focused on it. Or screw it, maybe I’ll just drink beforehand to really bring out my southern and then everyone else who’s not familiar with the accent is just going to have to figure out what I’m talking about

I guess you could practice talking fast with the accent you'd like? You know, speak with that accent slowly, then slowly speed up faster and faster. and do it a lot so that it becomes a habit that when you talk fast, you keep the accent you want to keep.
