I think if I just try to remember to speak in a higher tone too, then that will help. Cause usually my voice dips down and sits lower and that makes it easier for my southern to came through whenever I hit those certain words
-
I'm not sure if that'll work, though. It might. I remember when I was younger, and when I lost my two front teeth, I kinda forgot how to enunciate my words correctly. As in, no consonants. So my mom would give me two letters to make sure I pronounced when I was talking. Eventually I was talking normally again. She had this weird thing with what two letters to practice, I don't know.
So I guess try the gradually getting faster talking stuff, and if that doesn't work, I don't know what. -
Doing that with your voice could help too. I've noticed that if my voice starts going lower, my 'o's start getting way longer, and a bunch of weird stuff.
-
Well, you see, I have this “retail/customer service” voice which is basically where you talk in a slightly higher pitch than normally and you sound more cheerful because you’re greeting customers all day, and when I talk in that higher voice, I don’t think I’ve ever accent switched. It’s usually only when I start talking to the customer more and my voice drops back down to normal that I’ll start accent switching a bit. I don’t know, it’s weird. My voice is weird
But enunciating more articulately will probably help me as well -
For me, it’s the voice thing and then also an “a” in the middle of the word. Like “crawl” or “than”
-
Oh, I've never really had that kind of voice. My voice is also naturally low.
It probably will. If you wanted to do it how my mom did it, I don't know. She had this weird thing where, 'You generally practice your 'p's with your 'k's.' Or maybe it was your 'k's with your 'g's? I don't know, but she had some sort of combination thing -
I think vowels are the hardest.
-
I didn’t either until I started working retail and you have to be happy all the time because you don’t want to come across as rude, but when I’m talking to friends or family, then my voice is deeper and back to normal
Vowels are hard -
I know when I was little and I'd get excited, my voice would just get higher and higher and higher. I do remember that happening one time when I was little, and I had just gotten a Barbie.
Sorry, I have to go. I'm seriously going to fall backwards if I don't get some sleep soon. Good night. -
Yeah, I think our voices naturally get higher when we’re excited or surprised
Night~ -
Hope everything goes well for you.
