Thread Topic: Attention, please.

I mean, I honestly don't know what to think. They seem like a funny person, but judging by the posts of others, she seems a bit insensitive. I'm very confused.
-
The problem is that being chill and civil sometimes does not make up for how much of a problem she has been in regards to rule breaking and harassing the moderating staff. She has been relatively relentless for literal years. She has brief periods where she is nice to everyone, but she soon goes back to breaking the rules on purpose and then getting mad that the posts had to be deleted. That is why we were curious to know if deleting some of her accounts as punishment for years of disregarding the rules just to cause problems would be in our jurisdiction, or if people would disagree.
-
Maybe not COMPLETELY banning her, but inappropriate or rude behavior shouldn't be overlooked.
-
That is the purpose of this thread; we want to know if deletion of some of her accounts is the best course of action, or if we should continue to delete ONLY problematic posts/threads as we have been.
Basically, we're trying to find a more permanent solution to the problem. Because deleting her posts/threads doesn't seem to stop her from acting out, and we can't keep doing this. It's exhausting. -
Couldn't she just make another account?
-
Tonight is, from my understanding, the first time she's talked to any of us seriously/maturely. Whether that's because of the threat of her accounts being deleted or some other reason, I do not know. But it does leave room for further thought.
-
Yes, but newbie accounts have a much longer post time limit than higher status accounts. And, as I mentioned, deletion of these accounts is supposed to symbolize punishment for constant wrongdoings that keep reoccurring despite warnings and endless deletion of problematic content.
-
I think that some of her accounts should be deleted. It's not drastic, but it's significant enough that she might stop.
-
Then I say go for it. If this is a recurring problem like you guys say it is and nothings been done about her attitude, then you guys have to do what’s in the best interest of you guys. Without making it seem like you guys are overpowered, you guys do run gotoquiz and make it a safer place. There’s no point in putting so much work on yourself to the point of nothing changing. If you guys really have warned her from time to time again, then delete her account.
-
And I delete her account and we suspended until she’s at least proven and really proven that is that she’s ready to have her account back. If there’s a way you guys can withhold it from her or lock her out of it or something like that then maybe go down that route.
-
That’s not right hold up.
-
Instead of maybe deleting her if you don’t wanna go down that road, maybe see if you can at least lock her out of her account. That way if she’s proved that she’s changed, she can maybe get it back. If not delete it entirely.
-
Currently, we are limited in powers. We can:
-Delete posts
-Move threads
-Lock/unlock threads
-Pin threads
-Post with a cute little box
And that's it. We can't decide whether an account is suspended or permanently deleted. We also can't decide whether or not deleting a post adds to someone's post timer. I made a thread in the private Mod forum asking GTQ Guy to give us a few more powers that make it so we can do those kinds of things, but he hasn't said a word to us in years.
So if we do end up marking posts, and the account is deleted, there is no going back. We don't have that kind of power. -
Gotcha. Then my final vote is Yes
-
I think therealminime is right. Suspending her out of her account, and if she doesn't change, deleting it.
This thread is locked, therefore no new posts can be made.
