Exactly! And Merlin is Arthur's servant boy, not the one who raises Arthur. Arthur actually knows his dad, and lives in the castle with him. And Excalibur gets forged in the breath of a dragon that Uther caught, and then there's a crazy thing about how it got into the lake, and then into the stone, because Arthur was the only one that was supposed to wield it, and that's not even the majority of the problems with it.

[ sorry to interrupt but Arthurian mythology is very varied, and Merlin isn’t typically a mentor of Arthur’s, Until after he pulls the sword, that’s sometimes not even Excalibur, from a Stone or an anvil. This story takes major creative license, so while I understand why you’re bothered by that, it’s not actually that easy to stick to myth because of how many there are, the show is also not about Arthur it’s about Merlin.

Well, I'm not even going to get into all of the other things that is wrong with it.

My family calls all mistakes in the show 'sandwiches' whenever we watch it, because the pigeons sandwich was the first mistake we saw in it.
