it stands for emotional support animal
not quite a service animal, but some may be able perform some of the same functions or services. the main difference is that ESAs don't need training or certifications. they're there for emotional and mental support basically. it's hard to explain -
i'm not particularly educated on the topic myself but i'm trying to learn too
