A 32 chapter book took me about 5 months to finish. And then I wrote a 42 chapter long sequel to that, which took 7 months. Real writing takes time, so don't rush it.

Yeah, I don't know how long my books are going to be. I'm writing the first book of a trilogy, have the baseline ideas for what's going to happen in the next two books, have started a second series, but want to finish it when I finish the first, and have an idea for a third series.
Don't know if that's normal, but that's how it is. -
