If someone breaks into your house and you and your family are are home and you can either kill them or leave them to do whatever they were gonna do, what would you do? there is no legal repercussions for your action.

Honestly I wouldn’t. I’d get my f,wily out of there and call the police. I’m not trained to handle that situation.

obviously escape would be the best option, since engaging in any kind of combat could potentially put me and my family members in more danger. in my opinion, theft isn't a good reason to kill someone, but those are my morals. now if he was threatening me or my family harm, then I may kill him in self-defense. this is given I had an actual reason to believe our lives were in danger.
as usual, leave it to me to give a simple question a complicated answer. sorry guys. -
