Dad is somehow under the impression that I have some kind of foreseeable future for his stupid business. Yeah, sure I showed some interest in it when I was 12 and had absolutely no idea of what I wanted to do in life, but I'm 16 now. Less than 18 months from adulthood. And I sort of know what I want to get into now, and it's certainly not floodplain management. I wish he wouldn't string me along with his dreams but it could be worse I guess. Yeah heh a lot worse actually. And I don't want to hurt his feelings by saying I don't give a tip so I just use the smile and nod technique. But he's so dense that he doesn't even get it. Grr. ._. -

Getting my hair cut today :(
It's 27 inches long and honestly it's frickin beautiful but alas it does need some trimming. Really I wouldn't want it any longer so I'm okay with it. It's a gigantic pain to take care of as is, so having it get longer would only make it worse. -

My unofficial ranking of the six HTTYD books I've read so far (not including 1 and 2 because it's been almost three years since I read them last and I don't really remember much about them)
#1~ Book 7 (How to Ride a Dragon's Storm): Lots of tense moments. And feels. And just a terrific story line. It was awesomeee :)
#2~ Book 4 (How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse): FEELS, FEELS, AND MORE FEELS. AND HICCUP CRIED AND MY HEART BROKE. The whole bit about Hiccup choosing his own fate was super symbolic as well.
#3~ Book 5 (How to Twist a Dragon's Tale): The "it's never too late" lesson has stuck with me. Also Humongous is hilarious, as well as the end bit when Hiccup's just chilling in the water waiting to be rescued...LOL. plus the epilogue when Hiccup talks about how his mom died...SO MANY FEELS
#4~ Book 8 (How to Break a Dragon's Heart): I feel like this should have ranked higher and it eventually may. I just finished it today so I haven't had much time to dwell on it. It was pretty tense as well, and the whole story of Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Second was super feelsy and came full circle. Then the whole part with Furious threatening to organize a second dragon rebellion and wipe out the whole human race...DUN DUN DUN!!! The one noticeable downside was that the beginning and end were a bit blah. So that may be why I put it at #4.
#5~ Book 3 (How to Speak Dragonese): The book ain't bad in its own way, but it's been surpassed by the other books. I love Camicazi and Alvin and Hiccup's little Thor impersonation with Ziggerastica and the end when Stoick came to rescue Hiccup...ah, the feels ^^
#6~ Book 6 (A Hero's Guide to Deadly Dragons): There really just wasn't much to this book, partly because it was super short compared to the others. The best part was obviously when Hiccup found Hiccup II's guide to deadly dragons and the dragon whisperer secret passage thingy. And then when Hiccup told Madguts that the hairy scary librarian was the one who stole the stealth dragon, not Bertha -- LMAO that is classic Hiccup! But it just didn't have a huge development or anything so that's why it's at the bottom.
This all may change, though. I still have four books to go and I want to reread the first two also. Just wanted to consolidate my thoughts for now. -
