and it has 277 episodes + 50 more to release ( i guess). And I don't want to watch all the episodes. Is there any way I can learn about the characters without watching all the episodes?
And are the fillers important? (iK they are fillers, but) -

I don't know. I personally couldn't stand fairy tail. I think it's horribly overrated, but that's just me.
