I dont mind turn based i liked eternal sonata and grandia 2 is one of my favorite games but the theme style and combat in ff just sucked

Any competitive mode in videogames in a nutshell -
Turn based is more than attack and heal there is some strats involved whereas hack and slash is run in mash buttons run out heal repeat
I dont do competitve just casual gaming -
That depends on your definition of hack & slash
