When I was in middle school, we used Princeton Review to look at colleges, but... It's a bit confusing and the resources are hard to find.
I've been looking at what colleges I want to apply to, and this site has been life-changing:
(The site also has neighborhoods and stuff like that, so if you find a college you like you can look at the town it's in!)
Okay, so firstly, I don't remember if you have to make an account to use it. Either way, it's completely free, but if you DO make an account, you can add colleges you like to a list and you won't have to go crazy digging for them.
It rates colleges on an A-F scale on stuff like academics, athletics, professors, location, party scene, ect, and gives it an overall grade.
It also shows the prices and the variations depending on your households income.
ALSO, for colleges that don't have a 100% acceptance rate, it shows you what percentage chance you have of getting in based on your GPA and SAT/ACT scores, but don't worry, you don't have to put those in to look at the college.
It also has reviews from actual students that you can sort by topic and score, so there's that!
Lastly, it's super easy to find colleges that meet what you're looking for. You can filter colleges by pricing, SAT score range, location.. ect.
I just thought I'd share that with all of you because it's been an extremely useful tool to me. c: It has a bunch of other features but I don't have time to go into all of them.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them!
