I must admit, I am not as much insulted as I am surprised that someone would say that. How would everyone feel if I started saying their accents were "sh---y" and said I hated them just because they were American or so on and so-forth? (I would never do that.) I do not get why people say things like that if they know it is going to deeply offend and anger others.

I don't like how they judged us Brits because of our accents. We can't control it if we have accents or not. You Americans have accents too. Everyone has accents. People who live there and share it may think the others weird. You don't have to express your hate as brutally as she did. The thing I am telling myself to do is stand up for my people. Wouldn't we all?

This is what I do not get. We all grow up with our parents saying "If you do not have anything nice to say, do not say it at all." Yet, these people still purposely expose their hatred to the world to emotionally hurt others. It appalls me to see someone judge anybody by the way they talk and sound.
