Heard
I hear them
Everywhere I go
The sounds of hearts breaking
The deafening but silent cries
For help
I hear them
But I never acknowledge them
I hear the screams
Of the shattering souls
How loud they are
You cover your ears
To block out the noise
To block it all out
But it just makes it louder
And evermore present
Each thing I hear
Has a voice of its own
A story to be told
All different
Some painful
Some not
But they all have one thing in common
They want to be understood
They all want to be heard -

i met a man today. met him because i thought he killed for money. i thought i wanted someone killed. he sat down in a fine chair that looked that i thought he bought with blood. he said "lets get one thing straight" he said "i kill for fun and not for money. i hear opera in their running. i see art when the knife goes in and come out bloody. i kill because killings funny." i scowled and pretended to care, i opened my mouth and was going to speak but he said "don't do that" then got up and walked away. he already knew what i had to say. i met a man today who kills not for any other reason than to kill. i met him and gave him some money to murder on my behalf. as one killer to another he knew what i had to say.

Angel and Demon
When I look
I see an angel
Hiding inside a demon
The light it carries
Is smothered by the darkness
That surrounds it
I see hope and passion
Shinning through eyes
Filled with hate and pain
I see wings
Trying to spread and take flight
But is grounded by the chains
That keep the angel from escaping
I see beauty
Glowing through the grime and dust
When I look
I see an angel
Trapped inside a demon
Oh how the angel wishes to be free
But the demon holds its grip tight
Keeping the angel
Forever locked inside -
