Sorta.
Most people use swords. Soul Reapers destroy Hollows to keep from eating souls. Arrancars are like extremely powerful Hollows with Soul Reaper-like abilities. Aizen is trying to take over all three worlds (Hueco Mundo, The Seireitei, and the human world). But he's defeated by Ichigo Kurosaki in the end.
I read the books, own two games, and watch it. I record the episodes when I can. :) Cuz sometimes I miss them. -
