She sounds awesome. Kinda reminds me of Melisandre from GoT. They both have something to do with fire, although Meli is kinda calmer.. xP
I have a OC in the works as well. Her name is Rovi, and if you don't mind me talking about her, just say so. -

Nnkay.
So, Rovi looks and acts like a nine year old, but her true age is unknown. She is something like a demon, and feeds on human souls. She hates killing and is can be first thought of as a pacifist, but she usually doesn't mind if someone is being killed/attacked/tortured/etc,. The only mortal- possibly the only thing- she cares about is her human bodyguard/feeder, who've I've not delved into yet. If they get hurt, she will try and attack whoever done the damage.
Seeing as she looks like a nine year old, she also has the same strength as one, and cannot do much physical damage.
Her powers aren't strong as she would want, either. The most she can do is cause muteness and blindness. Still pretty useful in a fight, though.
Rovi's behavior is very impulsive, and is usually reliant on her guardian to rationalize and make decisions.
She stands at 5"9, and is 93 lbs. Rovi's hair is platinum blonde/ white and is straight, stopping at the midback. She also has bangs cut just under her eyebrows. Her eyes are large, and are Violet. She has very prominent canines.

Yeah, seeing as she's a demon, and they can be wayy too op at times, I tried to make her awesome but still not a mary-sue, you know?
What time-era/genre is would you put Kasai in? -
Hmmm, idk know I have really thought about it.
I was thinking middle ages, and she's like the adopted daughter of the King and Queen, but they don't know she's a sprite. They found her when she was a baby outside of the castle and took her in. And her birth mother comes in her dreams and tells her what her purpose/destiny is. -
That'd be an awesome book/book series. I defiantly would read it. How old would she be by the time her mother contacts her?

Also! Idea for Rovi and the guardian(they shall be named 'Nameless' for the time being):
Nameless's parents have died when they were 18. The only close relative they had was their younger sister, N2. They had lived decently for two years, until N2 gets possessed by Rovi. Rovi has acquired some of N2's memories and Nameless can't bare to kill what was once her sister. Rovi decides not to 'remove' Nameless and makes a deal with them- help her collect enough souls and N2 will be returned to Nameless. Willing to do anything, Nameless excepts
Unknown to Nameless, N2 is already dead.
