Let me repeat this.
No longer will questions be answered. Figure it out yourselfs, I wasent there. -
My guess is that Lewis found out about Barley dissing the hotel, and before Barley got his things from the other hotel, Lewis planted the bomb in his things, then Barley left. But he must have accidentally packed the bomb, which was inside of one of the things from his previous job. When he took that item, he took the bomb with him, unknowingly. Then, when he spent time with his wife, the bomb went off when it was supposed to, making it look like it was Barley's fault all along.

It has to be Mr. Barley, and Mr. Lewis. They both thought that another hotel opening up across the street, they will have competiton. So Mr. Barley could go across the street to the new Inn, get a room. And plant a bomb in the room, Mr. Barley made sure no one was in the room at the time. But he also had to make sure that at least someone from the room had to get hurt, or it would look suspicious, for Mr. Barley and Mrs. Barley to be out of the room. When the bomb went off. But Mr. Lewis made sure he was trying not to be a suspect so he planned this out, by watching the news maybe. And made sure it was on a day, where there is traffic.
