I'm crying, but no one seems to care. Who would, anyway? There's not even anyone here. I guess I'm just being a bit dramatic, although lately the changes in my life have been very drastic.

I remember it so vividly.
The scent of the cool, leather seats filling the air.
The consistent back-and-forth motion of her keychain.
The sweet sound of the Keith Urban album.
Her occasionally pausing the music to ask me the usual questions; how I've been, how school was going, how my pets were doing.
Her receiving the usual answers; fine, fine, and fine.
Studying her earings from the backseat, although I'd seen her wear them many times before.
Reading the road signs as they passed by in a quick motion.
Finally arriving to our destination, where I dragged my bag and suitcase out of the vehicle.
Walking inside the house, hearing the dogs bark wildly and feeling relieved they were in their crates.
Dropping my things in the guest bedroom and walking into the living room, plopping down on the couch, tired from the long ride. -
