Thread Topic: The ones who have fallen.

Lest we forget the ones who have fallen,
The ones who put themselves in harms way,
For people they won't know, or people they remember,
As their lives slowly fade away,
To the gunfire that rains down onto their bodies,
Once healed and now broken into a teardrop rain,
The bullet may pierce the body of our brethren,
And the memories they had, all lost in the pain,
But the one thing we can do to make them matter,
Is to remember this day and begin to praise,
For the ones who have fought to keep us alive,
They have kept us safe, while they lay to die,
In the field of Flanders, where the poppies rise,
To mark the place of one others demise,
Hopefully one day, peace will settle and remain,
Just love the life you are living today.
Author-Me.
Remembrance day, in my mind, isn't a day only for World War, but for every war that has happened.
Today, think of somebody that could be dead in your family, or that is dead. Chose them, and remember them. Thank them. They could be the reason that you are alive today.
Thank you all. -
Hey fatass.
-
Good poem BTW I just dislike you.

Lest we forget.

-.- Why the hate The Geek, What have I even done? All I said is that people should accept fat people into our society. It ain't a sin or something :(
-
Being fat is a sin. Greed = Being fat. Greed/Being fat= Sin.
-
Being fat isn't always the result of Greed... There are people that are physically not able to exercise causing them to gain weight easily (I for one, am not able to exercise because of an injury) There are people who are cronically injured not allowing them to really do much of anything, especially exercise. And how is it greedy? Are you suggesting that I should ship my food to a poor country, or give it to poor people? I'd just like to point out that I'm in Canada. There aren't many people on the streets here.
Can we just forget about this? This was supposedly a place for me to write down a nice poem for all of you to read. Suddenly I'm hated for having some allowance of different people. -
>implying you should only help people in your own country
-
>Implying that almost everybody in Canada is fine money wise mainly because the Government here actually pays people money monthly, enough to buy a crappy house and live off little but enough food. We aren't the U.S. Also I'll just personally note that I don't trust any donation funding because I know they'll just take the money. I'd like to start off by mentioning how the hell Cancer isn't cured yet. Yeah. Just think about that. What, 4.9Billion $$$ has gone into NCI (National Cancer Institute) EVERY YEAR. Do you seriously trust where your money is going? Yeah. If I saw somebody myself that NEEDED the money or they were gonna die, I would give it to them (If I actually had a single buck. I'm only a teen.) And it's not like I'm rich. Neither are my parents. In fact, we're at the brink of bankruptcy. We're eating cheap unhealthy processed meats, we haven't eaten out for 2 months now, and it's about 3 months until we're broke. And it doesn't really make it easier when my brother is a fat pig who eats everything on the table in the matter of about 5 minutes, AND has the nerve to ask my parents and I if we don't want anything. Adding to the stress of it all, he's constantly starting fights on doing his s---ty homework 99% of the time, and he's getting his way almost all the time. If he doesn't, he'll throw a fit and break at least 3 things in our house. Our brains.
So before you start getting all wound up, I'd just stop. I don't want to argue with one of the 20 people that actually still use this website. -
Just gonna say that as far as the Seven Deadly Sins go, being fat would be Gluttony, not Greed.

>implying implications

Is this what I get for making a forum post? Wow, that's lovely.

Whenever I mention anything to my grandpa about his days in the Navy, he gets this sad faraway look.
