I have Automatonophobia. I feel like my friends will laugh at me or say that it's okay they are nothing to be afraid of.

That isn't funny, it is natural.
There are so many "phobias" now days that I consider them all invalid (except for a select few) . I don't think that is anything to be worry about, and if anything, I would say you have problems if you don't experience some sort of uncomfort doing so. (Unless you are a guy of course)
