The way you complain about them is proof enough.
You're not the first person to be like "I hate this" but you're actually afraid of it. Even in Attack on Titan I see a similar situation. Just because a person hates Titans, doesn't mean they'll be able to fight them because most are afraid of them and end up being eaten. -
