Yes. But wait there's more....
When Mother Gothel found out Rapunzel ran away, she realized she was friends with Flynn Rider. So she helped the Stabbington brothers to get Flynn Rider arrested so that Rapunzel was defenseless. Then she told them about Rapunzel's Magic hair planned to have the brothers kidnap her. But then she planned to turn on them and "rescue" Rapunzel so she looked like the good guy and Rapunzel wouldn't ever run away again. -

Prince of Egypt is a DreamWorks movie adaptation on Moses. It's very good, I recommend it.
