But something wasn't right. Essence's mother was transparent! 'Maria! Mom!' Essence exclaimed

Kira walked over to Maria and Essence's mother. "You alright?"

Maria nodded. Essence's transparent mother didn't answer. Essence stepped out to touch her mom, only for her hand to travel right through her body...

"Baby?" Kira asked Maria, glancing worriedly at Essence's mother.

Maria had her child in her arms. 'He's ok.' she whispered

Kira nodded, then turned to Essence and her mother.

Essence yanked her hand back in shock. 'Mom, you're...' Essence began. Jeanette (Essence's mom's name)nodded.

"Dead." Kira whispered.

Jeanette nodded. 'Kyra's right, sweetie. You had to find out, sooner or later.' she explained, frowning.

Kira looked at her aunt'd necklace, and feared the same fate.

'I'm sorry, girls.' Maria frowned

Kira sighed, placing the necklace in her pocket.

'It's not your fault.' Essence told Maria, helping her up.

"We go?" Kira asked.

'Definately.' Maria answered, clutching her child, who was wrapped in a piece of rag.
