Kira continued on, her body shaking slightly. They soon came upon a set of staires, leading up into an empty abyss.

'What the?' Essence whispered

"We go?" Kira asked, staring up into the never-ending darkness.

'I don't know. It doesn't look very safe.' Essence replied, trembling. Out of the blue, she felt something push against her back. The next second,she was falling. Falling through the abyss...

Kira gasped, and then she too was falling.

Essence was blinded by tears. She snapped her eyes closed, trying not to vision the horrible scene.

Kira landed on something with a thud. She sat up, and let out a short shriek. Her left arm felt badly hurt, possibly bleeding.

When feeling a rush of agony, Essence's eyes snapped open. She was at the bottom of some sort of tunnel, surrounded by skeletons.

"Essence?" Kira said, rubbing her eyes.

'Kyra!' she called, rushing over. 'Are you ok?'

Kira nodded, then tried standing up.

Essence took Kyra's hand and pulled her up. She stared at all the skeletons around.

Kira gasped, and ran over to one of the skeletons. Around it's neck was a glowing necklace, the same necklace her aunt used to wear.

Essence heard a sobbing sound. She turned to see...her mother! And Maria!

Kira took the necklace from the skeleton and followed Essence's gaze.
