Thread Topic: Do you look up to any musicians/have role models?

The musicians who inspire you, do good music and are generally great role models; people you would look up to as well.
Mine are: Taylor Swift because her songs are really relatable. She's a talented and good person. Selena Gomez because same as Taylor. And of course Justin Bieber because he taught me to never say never and believe. No matter how many haters he gets, he still is strong. He doesn't bite back to them and the sweet thing he did about Avalanna brought me to tears. I admire him for donating a lot, caring about his fans and taking care of his mother when he was only 12 years old. Yeah, that's about it. I USED to look up to Miley Cyrus... now... not so much e.e -
I don't really have role models or somebody I really want to be like.
The only person I want to be like is me. -
Also, me and Taylor are very much the same. We were both born and raised in the country. We were both outcasts in high school. We both like to play the guitar. We both like to sing :3 But I'm not as talented as her.

There are people I really admire because I think they are talented, such as Corey Taylor and Randy Blythe. But both of those guys used to be hardcore alcoholics, so I wouldn't neccessarily call them "role models". Personally I think role models are overrated. It's better to be your own person instead of trying to be somebody else.

Taylor Swift, because I have been with her since I was like 8 or 7. Same as Kirby, me and Taylor are pretty similar. I was an outcast at one point, I play guitar, I LIKE to sing, but I fail at it lol.
I guess that makes me and Kirby similar too...:O
Anne Frank. (I know she doesnt sing, she just has always been an inspiration to me.) -
i think charles scultz (the guy who made charlie brown) is my rolemodel, if anyone.

Amy Lee (of Evanescence) because she is beautiful and an amazingly talented musician. She's also really ... Real I guess. In interviews and stuff she acts like a completely normal person who's really kind and funny.
Frank Iero (of My Chemical Romance) because he is probably the sweetest man alive. He always tries to meet his fans and sign things, and always encourages his fans to be the best he can be.
yeah that sounds cheesy but oh well -
JOHN LENNON (Beatles, Plastic Ono Band, Quarrymen etc.) I freaking love his music. Hos lyrics tell such important, real-life stories. He stood up for peace and love. He made me believe a you need is love. So inspirational. He is in my profile pic. That is him playing and singing a Lennon/McCartney song in my all time fav movie, Help!
