I personally think beethoven is overrated.I don't like the "passion" in his works too.Plus I love debussy so my choice is clear.

Beethoven....overrated....pain....so much........
All if the classic, baroque, and romantic composers that we hear of today were the best of the best. Beethoven composed some of the most complicated works in music history, all of which have certain sounds to them that create emotion. Also, the guy was deaf, yet he composed some of the most amazing works known to man. -
I actually like neither.
I prefer Antonio Lavaldi (sp?). -
I know,beethoven's been amazing.But he's just that.He was a talented artist.
I like debussy's style more. -
@Sage I think you mean Vivaldi, he's my favorite as well. :3
-
Eh, don't like either too much.
Tchaikovsky, Antonio Vivaldi, and Manuel M. Ponce are my favorites. Though I doubt you've heard of Ponce. xP -
Tchaikovsky is definitely one of my favorites as well. I never get tired of any of his works.
@Vik What works by Beethoven have you heard? -
Many. Can't name all of them though.
Isn't Vivaldi a violist? -
@Cherry I don't remember how to say/spell his last name. So probably. :P
-
Neither are my favorite, but if I had to pic it would probably be...oh...actually thats tough.
Probably Debussy. I love "Clair de Lune" for the piano. -
Ode to Joy does it for me with Beethoven. His No. 5 symphony and his No. 9 symphony make him one of my favorite composers.

Clair delune is the best of debussy, but arabequse and la fille are pretty amazing too.
