It's just f---ing ridiculous. Music used to be sacred, religious experience. Then a bunch of scumbags with dollar signs in their eyes put a f---ing price on it and sold it all to the lowest common f---ing denominator. Now we have 800 songs with the same goddamn sampled drum beat.
The worst part is that everyone just eats it up like a dog eating its own vomit. God I hate my f---ing generation. We deserve a lot better than the garbage we get fed, but its disgusting that everyone is so complacent and just accepts this blatant mediocrity. I fear a future where we are only allowed to listen or watch the things that government and corporations allow us to. Music and movies are like the f---ing Dairy Queen now, just the same homogenous vanilla and chocolate dairy treat for everyone. f--- you, I want strawberry-peanut butter-skunk meat!

It takes some digging, but there's still some good stuff out there. It just doesn't get the same attention as the artists that are frankly only doing it to make money. :/ I agree completely, though. I'm having trouble finding new musicians I like nowadays. Everything is starting to sound the same, and people seem to be fine with it.

THANK YOU! Now I know that I'm not the only one who thinks this. The only pop songs that I like are very far and few in between. I'm also scarred of how people will be dancing in the future. I agree with Ana, though, that's where you find the good songs.

heretic_blood NewbieJesus Christ people. You guys are just as bad as the ones who like this kind of music. You just find your own niche, that's all. It doesn't matter if you like AC/DC or One Direction, that's PEOPLE'S OWN OPINIONS. They aren't any less of a person than you. I don't like it either, but I don't act like I'm high and mighty about it. I swear, you people are honestly brainless. Just find what music you like and don't listen to the music you don't. That's all you need to do, you don't need to complain about it.

It depends on what sort of music is being played. Most of them are crap (e.g. Flo Rida & Pitbull, Bauuer) while others are alright (e.g. Bastille & Zedd).

We're brainless for stating our opinions? :I I never said anything against those who enjoy that kind of music. Hell, I didn't even name any musicians. You're the one that came in here with a holier-than-though attitude and got offended.
